In early 2020 we were commissioned to design a way-finding system for the Pergola Hotel in Mellieħa.
We decided to make use of monochrome materials for the signage elements to complement the interiors. Each sign includes a horizontal line that connects the typography and relevant iconography to further guide the user around the building.
The complexity of the hotel layout was a challenge in itself. The main entrance is situated at the top of a steep hill, having 6 descending floors with some lifts having different areas of access. It was imperative that each entrance and fire escape was clearly mapped and identified.
